Some time ago I started a dedicated facebook group, and now I finally found the time to post a few things. Join our Plastic Recycling Africa facebook group if you’re interested in solving the plastic waste problem faced by developing countries. Developing countries, yes, not just Africa. Because Plastic waste is a problem all over the world, and the problems faced by African urban and rural areas is not unique to them alone.

This dedicated facebook group will however allow us to exchange knowledge and ideas in a more focussed and recognizable manner.

Hi there, my name is Cheryl Van Kempen. I contribute to improved livelihoods for millions of people. How? By making global change my business. I work in the water sector. A sector which touches on food security and agriculture, waste management and climate change resilience to name just a few aspects. I also do voluntary work.

I use my knowledge of Africa, the environment, my network and my skills to build bridges and promote the adoption of innovative solutions. In 2017 I decided to start a vlog on development cooperation, as a way to communicate what I learn and do with more people simultaneously. I believe I can help more people if I communicate publicly. I believe I can make a positive change in this world and I’d like to show you how I do it, but at the same time, I hope you will share with me your own stories and experiences!
